TopSitez, run from Sheffield, UK, is responsible for the information on this site. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. To ask about anything here, email paul@r4us.com.

Club listings

Each listing shows the club's name, website or page, short description, sport, town or area, badge or banner image and its votes. This is public.

Some clubs were listed by us using information the club has already made public, such as its own website, social page or a public sports directory. If you run one of them you can claim it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to remove it at any time, and we'll do so.

Email addresses and contact details

When you add a club, we ask for an email address. When you send a claim, correction or removal request, we ask for your name, email, role and message. We use these only to check and approve your request and to contact you about your listing. We never show them on the site, never sell them and never use them for marketing.

Votes and visits

To allow one vote per person per club per day, and to count how many visitors each club receives, we take your IP address, combine it with a secret code and the date, and scramble it into a code that can't be turned back into your IP address. We don't store your IP address itself. These codes are deleted automatically after 90 days.

The "are you human" check

Forms and votes are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks you're a person and not a bot. Cloudflare processes some technical information to do this; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Cookies

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run analytics that follow you around the web.

Who else is involved

The site and its database are hosted by Cloudflare. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser fetches them. When someone adds a club or sends a request, the site owner gets a short alert on their phone through the ntfy service; it contains the club name and the sender's name, not their email or message.

How long we keep things

Listings stay until they're removed. Contact details stay with a listing while it's on the site, and are deleted with it. Requests are kept so we have a record of what was agreed. Vote and visit codes are deleted after 90 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
